"The Case for Creativity"
Tuesday, November 15 @ 7:00 p.m. - Dale P. Creitz Recital Hall
Why do the arts matter? In a society that is ratcheting up its focus on STEM fields does it make sense to invest more time and money into the creative arts? The evening will be a discussion of the ever changing role that arts play in a modern society and why we need to stay creative if we want to be competitive.
Aleksander Sternfeld-Dunn is an associate professor of music theory, composition and technology at Wichita State University. His music is performed widely through the U.S. and Europe. As well as being an accomplished composer he is also active as a conductor and string bassist.
