THREE workshops will be offered this year for stu dents entering 3rd thru 9th grades.\n\nWORKSHOP DATES:  Tuesday\, July 5 - Friday\, July 15\n\nLOCATION:  Iola Community Theater Warehouse\, 203 S. Jefferson Ave. in Iola. Drop-off and pick-up students here each weekday.\n \nWORKSHOP I:  Students entering 3rd thru 5th grades - meet from 8am - 10a m\n\nWORKSHOP II:  Students entering 6th thru 8th grades - meet from 10am - Noon\n\nCSTW 2.0:  New this year!!  Students entering 9th grade - meet f rom 1pm - 3pm\n\nPERFORMANCE:  Saturday\, July 16th at 9:30am in the Bowlu s Auditorium. Students from all three workshops participate.  No cost for friends and relatives to attend.\n\nCSTW Workshops I & II will explore a c ombination of techniques basic to theatrical performance. Students will pl ay improvisational theater games\, practice voice projection and expressio n\, help develop characters\, memorize lines and perform in front of their peers. Students will also take a tour of the Bowlus stage\, experience th e catwalk and learn about basic stage equipment.\n\nCSTW 2.0 is a new addi tion this year! This workshop is open to students entering 9th grade and w ill focus on advanced techniques of pantomime\, voice and diction\, improv isation\, playwriting\, vocal enhancement\, expression and body movement.  Students will also learn about the audition process and theater technology .\n\nFor the second year now\, CSTW is under the reins of Creative Directo r John Higginbotham. John has a long history with CSTW. He participated in the program throughout elementary and middle school and worked as a camp assistant during high school. While attending Iola High School\, John was active in Forensics and participated in numerous plays and musicals both o n-stage and behind the scenes.
