Iola Area Symphony Orchestra

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Andy Dunlap. Andy played a significant role in the Orchestra, and his presence, talent, and friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Andy will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Iola, Kansas, on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the Boy Scouts of America, the Iola Symphony, or Wesley United Methodist Church.

The Bowlus Fine Arts Center proudly welcomed the Iola Area Symphony Orchestra into its official programming beginning with the 2018–2019 season. 

However, the orchestra’s legacy in our community dates back to 1965, making it a treasured part of Iola’s cultural history.
